#18 – Sepsis
Many laics refer to Sepsis as “blood poisoning” which is, in fact, true. Describing Sepsis as blood poisoning is a really accurate description of that life-threatening and serious medical condition. Sepsis occurs when various types of bacteria or toxins enter your bloodstream directly through wounds or deep cuts.
Symptoms of Sepsis include irregular heartbeats, tachycardia, high fever, and high respiratory rate. If left untreated, Sepsis will travel to your extremities and make them fall off. If completely left untreated, Sepsis will lead to a condition in which there’s no way out called Septic Shock.
