#19 – Encephalitis
Did you know that your brain can get infected just like any other organ in your body? Brain infection is professionally known as Encephalitis and can be caused both by bacteria and viruses. Back in the day, people referred to Encephalitis as “sleeping sickness.”
The differences between Encephalitis caused by bacteria and viruses are subtle. Common Encephalitis symptoms include flu, unsteady gait, seizures, stiff neck, sensitivity to light, and muscle weakness. If detected early, Encephalitis can be treated easily.
