#24 – Eclampsia
Eclampsia is a disease that every woman who gave birth just recently is afraid of. The disease manifests itself in seizures that happen several days after giving birth. Doctors still didn’t find out what’s causing Eclampsia in women, however, what is known is that there is a precursor to Eclampsia called Pre-Eclampsia.
Pre-Eclampsia’s characteristics include high protein in urine and high blood pressure. If a woman doesn’t report her Pre-Eclampsia symptoms, she is likely to experience Eclampsia. Pre-Eclampsia is treatable, but women who have it are advised to give birth earlier than the due date.
