#9 – Cholera
Cholera is one of the strangest and deadliest diseases in the world. It’s an infectious disease caused by bacterium Vibrio cholerae. The bacterium that causes Cholera finds its home in a person’s intestine which ultimately leads to the infection of the small intestine.
Symptoms of Cholera include sunken eyes, frequent diarrhea, muscle cramps, vomiting, hand and feet wrinkling, and blue skin. There were cases of Cholera in which people actually died from it because they lost too much fluid due to severe diarrhea. The disease is transmitted by drinking contaminated water.
