#14 – Lake Natron

The whereabouts of this highly unusual and extremely dangerous lake are in Tanzania. This Tanzanian lake is one of the most dangerous lakes in the world. It can be found at the base of one of the mountains at the Gregory Rift in Tanzania.

The water in this lake is deadly. It is oversaturated with dangerous chemicals as well as with salt. The average water temperature of Lake Natron goes nowhere below 60 °C (140 °F). It’s also important that this lake has a high acidity rate which means that it would skin you off if you would swim in it.
